Parque Tropical 5 – Three Bed Villa

Thanks to an excellent communication with Karen and despite the difficult covid period everything went perfect. The house is very good situated and at calm end of Los Cristianos and includes everything we needed. Walking distance to the busy center+ Más(25 minutes) and until Playa de las Americas takes some more than 50 minutes With a baby of 1.5 year the needed infrastructure (cot and highchair) where present (thank you Karen). The heating of the pool was the more cost of 50 € absolutely worth (especially for the baby) and we really enjoyed. The villa includes also a private parking/garage which is a must if you hire a car. 8 adults in the house must be possible but there are only 4 outside sunbeds, 4 outside chairs and limited tableware but this cannot be a problem. Sometimes local (very kind) people for the pool and the garden showed unexpected up but was no problem. The local welcome was perfect. we had a wonderful time and surely hopes to return soon. Jan

Hi, myself and my family stayed at the aforementioned accomodation, from October 20 to 28th. Natalie was very helpfull but there were issues with the Villa. There is obviously major issues with its electrical supply. From day one, if the grill,+ Másmicrowave and kettle were put on simultaneously, as can happen at breakfast time with a family of 6 people, then electricity trip switches flicked off. After this happened, luckily i was aware of what needed to be done, but it proved very difficult to get the grill back on afterwards. We learned to use one device at a time which was possible but awkard. Over the weekend, 23rd and 24th, various lights downstairs werent working but would come back if the trip switch was pulled back up. They however kepf tripping off. The power to the pool also went off, the water became murky (cloudy) and was'nt heated either which we had paid for. This had not tripped any swithches that i could see so remained that way until an electrician came on Monday afternoon. He stayed for 2 hours (during which time we could'nt leave, obviously) and when he left he said all was ok. The pool was fixed however that evening when we tried to turn the lights on downstairs, (execpt for the kitchen area), none worked either inside or outside the villa. That remained until Wednesday when the electrician had to come back. We were told to expect him at 11 but he did not arrive until 1 o clock and was there for 3 hours until after 4. Again this did not allow us to move from the villa on the last day of our holidays. We had a hire car for our holidays but for the 2 days the electrician was with us, we could not make use of it to tour the island. The lights in the pool itself never worked which took from the atmosphere but not having a light anywhere outside for the last few nights of our stay meant that we could not use the BBQ area as we had planned and had bought food for. It was also not possible to sit outside at night to read a book, enjoy a glass of wine etc as there were no lights. The villa itself was well equiped but the air conditioning did'nt work either in a number of the rooms but especially in the main bedroom. An air conditioning engineer that arrived said that the unit in the main bedroom appeared to be working only as a fan and he said he thought it was an old device. This made some of the nights difficult to sleep and were quite uncomfortable. Overall, the Villa was very nice, well equipped and well located however the electrical issues were something that could have been done without and took from the experience. Regards Kieran Brennan
